Adaptive Odoo Addons

While working part-time as a machine operator at a Sydney joinery manufacturer, I saw that the company’s Odoo 19 Enterprise showed production as long, generic lists. Operators and leads couldn’t see what each machine had to cut next, who had finished what, or how the shop floor was performing.

On my own initiative I built a Chrome extension that adds shop-floor screens inside Odoo itself: queues per machine with drag-and-drop between them, completion history with photos, an assembly board per person, client colours shared by the whole team, a quick search in the navbar and a statistics dashboard for CNC cutting.

Screens recreated with illustrative data to protect the client’s information.

It runs on the user’s existing Odoo session through RPC — no admin access, no server changes — and it only writes to Odoo when someone explicitly drags or reorders a job.
